Try the "5 S's": Swaddle, Side position, Shush (white noise), Swing, and Suck. One at a time, slowly. You're not doing it wrong — some babies just need more soothing.

This is "hypervigilance" — your brain is in protector mode. Put feet flat on the floor, take 3 slow breaths, and remind yourself: right now, in this moment, you are safe.

I feel like I'm failing
Feeling like a bad parent is a sign you care deeply. There is no perfect parent. Your baby doesn't need perfect — they need YOU, showing up every day. That's enough.

I can't sleep even when baby sleeps
Common with postpartum anxiety. Try: dim lights, silence your phone, avoid screens for 10 min, and do 4-7-8 breathing (inhale 4, hold 7, exhale 8). Let your body know it's safe.

Your body has been someone else's all day. When baby sleeps, even 5 minutes of no-touch time — your hands free, your body yours — helps reset your nervous system.

Sync their schedules as much as possible. It's okay to put a crying baby down safely while you tend to another. You can only do one thing at a time. That's okay.

Sentirte así es una señal de que te importa profundamente. No existe la mamá o papá perfecta. Tu bebé te necesita a ti, presente cada día. Eso es suficiente.

Común con la ansiedad postparto. Apaga las luces, silencia el celular, y respira 4-7-8 (inhala 4, sostén 7, exhala 8). Dile a tu cuerpo que está seguro.

Esto es real y válido. Cuando el bebé duerma, aunque sean 5 minutos sin que nadie te toque, ayuda a resetear tu sistema nervioso. Ese tiempo es tuyo.

Sincroniza sus horarios — alimenta y duerme al mismo tiempo. Está bien poner a un bebé en un lugar seguro mientras atiendes al otro. Solo puedes hacer una cosa a la vez.
